Breakdown; If I Were a Spy

2014 / 16mm / color / 7min.

A cinematic poem that attempts to conduct a dialog with cinema as a “thing” through a collage of various types of film from 8mm to 35mm. A thing has a texture of grain and crystal, but in film these become recordings and memories through sound and vision. Taking Japanese films released in the English-speaking world, French films released in Czech, etc., as raw materials, this time I consider the tug –of-war and state of traveling together that belong to imagery and verbal information through the place and process of production of the medium of “film”.
