A legend tells of a young Greek woman languishing for her lover who has departed for battle. She creates his shadow on the wall by the help of a candle, and may thus for ever have the illusion of sleeping next to him.
Film director. Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1960. Captivated by film since an early age, began making 8mm films when he was 15. Received attention at many film festivals after the release of his first feature-length film, Los Motivos de Berta (85), and has garnered passionate fans around the world with his idiosyncratic filmmaking style that transcends genres from narrative film to documentary and experimental cinema. Main works include “Tren de Sombras” (97), “En la Ciudad de Sylvia” (07), and “Correspodencia Jonas Mekas – J.L Guerin” (11).
