Is this an invented star chart, or perhaps an abstract landscape of the hustle and bustle of a city? The fantastic combines with the abrasively realistic, and we are led to a “sense of place” that does not exist anywhere. Miró’s abstract landscape drawings and black and white etchings, along with depictions of dust and garbage at the base of things – the joy of full animation can be felt in each detail. A film that can be described as a compilation of its creator’s thirty years of artistic endeavors.
　

SEKIGUCHI Kazuhiro

Born in Tokyo in 1952. After graduating from Nippon Design College in 1978, studied under AIHARA Nobuhiro and created MANDALA, an animated work using 8mm film. Has continued to create new works since then while conducting research into the possibilities of animation. Major works include IGI, MEMORY OF CELL, and PLANET.
