For some particular reason “I”, who have inherited a house from my adoptive father, am doing my best to destroy a wall outside the bathroom. Awkwardly but steadily, with tools I am holding for the first time, I continue stubbornly, a woman on my own. To get closer to the adoptive father who raised me. To determine my own path forward. And so that I too can leave something for those who come after me.
　

FURUMOTO Yumi

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1983. Quit her job and entered Tokyo Zokei University. Began making movies. Made KATOUSHA, a documentary about director Mahamed Toe’s stage show in 2012 and GENJI – THE OTHER SIDE STORY, a documentary about director Lu Nagata’s circus show in 2013.
