This work is the latest installment in the “Matsumae-kun Series” begun in 1989. The series is now in its third 12-year cycle, and this latest work, REVOLUTION FOR MATSUMAE-KUN TO BE BEAUTY, combines material from A FILM TO BE MATSUMAE-KUN (1991) and FLOW OF MATSUMAE-KUN TO BE AFTER DEATH (03) with original footage shot in 2015.　What has the “revolution” of 24 years brought? OKI Hiroyuki

Born in Tokyo in 1964. Lives in Kōchi Prefecture. Graduated from the Architecture Department of the School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo. Has created/released over 130 movies/moving image works over the past 30 years. HEAVEN-6-BOX (Produced by the Kōchi Prefectural Art Museum) won the NETPAC Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. Has presented many installations/performance works at art museums and galleries. This August he will lead the “Team ” in the annual Kōchi “Yosakoi” festival” for the 16th time.
