What can people learn form talking to machines? With this as a topic and inspired by forgotten technologies from the pre-history of cinema such as slide projectors and phenakistoscopes, Dutch filmmaker Joost Rekveld makes films using devices of his own creation. He has created these two programs combining his own works that have been acclaimed in various contexts such as a solo exhibition at the Barbican Centre , the Sundance International Film Festival, and the Holland International Animation Film Festival and abstract works by which he has been influenced. Teach-ins with the filmmaker are scheduled for the May 4th 16：15 and May 5th 21:15 screenings.
