On the map, is an in-land area surrounded by mountains. There used to be five towns and villages here. Shot over five days in these towns. It was a peaceful place, remarkable for its faint light. As one scene leads into another, there is a sense of memories of the towns being spun. Then, as though being led by something, another sight floats into view. （M.K.）
　

MIZUNO Katsunori

Born in Mie prefecture in 1982. Graduated from Nagoya Zokei University of Art and Design in 2005. Received a diploma from the Graduate School of Art at Kyoto City University of Arts in 2008. Received the Special Jury Prize in 2004 Image Forum Festival with the film MONOTONE. Works screened at the Image Forum Festival over the years include TONE (05), SILENT CITY (07), GRAPHITE (10), TELESCOPE (10) and LIGHT SCAPE (11).
