A work of paper-craft animation in which paper cutouts of people’s silhouettes are rearranged and made to move with a phenakistoscope.
A large number of people walk and run, go up and down stairs, and repeat various exercises. At last something changes, shadows move in the opposite direction, and a transformation into a bizarre space occurs. （N.Y.）
　

NAKANISHI Yoshihisa

Born in Tokyo in 1965. Graduate of Musashino Art Junior University in 1988. His many works consists of the usage of stop motion, animation, and/or mixed media. Currently works on commercial videos, music promotional clips, animation works, and flash animation design projects. Works include ROUNDSCAPE (96), LADY…GO!! (01), BIO CITY (06), ANGEL CALL (00), NIGHT SHINE (00, a music video for Nanao Tabito), and THE WHITE BOOK for NHK’s Petit Petit Anime.
