I awake to the cries of a stray cat. There are signs of a cat in the house. Sunlight streams in, but outside I can hear the sound of rain. After going out to eat, I buy a ticket and see a movie. A simply made work that does not use actors or cats but instead employs images and sounds as signs of what has occurred. (K.D.)
Born in Jeonju, South Korea in 1977. Attended Hanyang University. Since graduating has created moving image works while conducting research at Kyoto University of Art and Design. Has had works screened at many festivals, including the Image Forum Festival (2008, 2009, 2010), the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, exis Seoul International Film Festival, and the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
