A music video for the song “Fragments of Journey” from moskitoo’s “mitosis” album. I made it by cutting out and layering together travel photos I had taken. Journeying through a world created by fragments of photographic data, by putting together the puzzle the world and memory are connected. Music and lyrics, the time and place the photos were taken – these worlds operate in multiple layers, melt together, and create this large and small travel video. (H.Y.)
Born in Kyoto in 1976. Won the 2002 Image Forum Festival Special Jury Prize for “Landscape Movie”. Has entered works in exhibitions and film festivals in Japan and overseas. Had a solo exhibition entitled “arukoto being/something” at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in 2011. Main works include: “the outline of everything” (10~), “arukoto being/something” (11)
