A Kyōgen stage, an ophthalmology exam room, a sushi counter.
Two people meet in each of these spaces. There is a small distance between them that must be maintained. A frightening, pleasant, soft, enticing feeling floats within this distance. In an instant the desired sensation starts moving and fumbles about. It combines and connects them. There is no saying what this is. “Sensation”　is the wholesome, ordinary, highest pleasure of that which simply feels, that which has feelings and a body.
　

MIZUSHIRI Yoriko

Born in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture in 1984. Currently lives in Tokyo. Focuses mainly on hand-drawn and stop-motion animation. Major works: KAPPO (06), FUTON (12/Received many selections for entry/prizes including the Renzo Kinoshita Award at the 2014 Hiroshima International Animation Festival), SHOW HUT (13/Received many selections for entry including the 64th Berlin International Film Festival Short Film Competition Section).
