The filmmaker calls the segments of film he leaves undeveloped the “undeveloped zone”. In the live film work THE UNDEVELOPED ZONE EROSION (15), for the first time he screened original film using a hand-crank projector. Transmitted images are black. Reflected images that do not project on the screen are white. Here the filmmaker first became aware of reflected images. And this work was born. （O.J.）
　

OKUYAMA Jun’ichi
