I was in Lhasa, Tibet, in autumn of 2004, exactly twenty years after shooting/screening my debut work, RIGHT DESIRE, when I was twenty years old in 1984 〜〜 I set off once again from the question, “what are right desires?” Was my trip to shoot footage that lasted until the spring of 2005 itself a right desire? Could loading the “division” of time I then spent ten years later, from autumn of 2014 to spring of 2015, with “power,” and the film itself, become a right desire? 〜 Is it irrelevant?(O.H.)
