A work of paper-craft animation, created by making three- dimensional pop-ups out of slit paper and adding motion through rearrangement and a three-dimensional phenakistiscope. The various three-dimensional shapes created out of slit paper are moved repeatedly in all directions and combined to fill the screen. （N.Y.）
　

NAKANISHI Yoshihisa

Born in Tokyo in 1965. Graduate of Musashino Art Junior University in 1988. His many works consists of the usage of stop motion, animation, and/or mixed media. Currently works on commercial videos, music promotional clips, animation works, design and paper craft design. Works include ROUNDSCAPE (96), LADY…GO!! (01), BIO CITY (06), ANGEL CALL (00), NIGHT SHINE (00, a music video for Nanao Tabito), and THE WHITE BOOK for NHK’s Petit Petit Anime.
