Original background music that runs throughout the work, documents of song lyrics and dialogue, short, photograph-like hand-processed 8mm film footage… These three elements are separated like oil and water, but the instant their light and sound waves reach the five senses of the audience, a creative fusion of sound, words, and imagery begins. A unique documentary calling out the destruction of the symbol of folk beliefs remaining in the Chichibu region.
　

SASAKUBO Shin

Has performed in Europe and South America as a guitarist playing contemporary and Andes music. Has released 25 CDs as of 2016. His works as a visual artist are being exhibited at the Setouchi Triennale 2016 from March 24th to autumn. Works as a director include ORNAMENT OF DOG（14）, CHICHIBU REST（14）, and PYRAMID（15）. PYRAMID, shot on 8mm film, was selected for official screening at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival 2015.
