REALISTIC VIRTUALITY (BLACK HOLE / MINI)

REALISTIC VIRTUALITY (BLACK HOLE / MINI)

ITO Ryusuke / 2016 / video installation

An installation that stages a comparison between a miniature and the projection of its live-video feed. It is an attempt to reduce an enormous celestial figure that exists beyond our sight to a manageable size. By using miscellaneous small objects that are spatiotemporally contiguous, the work visualizes the end of our world and of our existence as we foresee it. (I.R.)
